Riteishs father Vilasrao Deshmukh passes away 

 Former Chief minister of Maharashtra / Union Minister and Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh's father Vilasrao Deshmukh passed away today at the Global Hospital located at Chennai. Vilasrao Deshmukh was to undergo a very complicated Kidney and Liver Transplant and was on a Life support system but unfortunately passed away even before the procedure could take place. He was 67 year old.

Funeral to be held at a native village

Mr. Deshmukh will be cremated at his native Babhalgaon village at Latur district on Wednesday, family sources said.

The mortal remains of the departed leader will be brought to Latur on Wednesday and kept at his house in Babhalgaon from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for people to pay their last respects, his brother Dilip Deshmukh, said.

The funeral procession will start at 3 p.m. and last rites would be performed at 4 p.m.

Three-day state mourning

The Maharashtra government has announced a three-day state mourning from Tuesday over the demise of Mr. Deshmukh.

The announcement was made by Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, official sources said.
