Top 5 Most Dangerous PC Viruses

Some of the computer viruses which can be considered in  top 5 most dangerous viruses are listed below..

1)The "Very Funny" or "I Love You" Virus:
This one hit the Internet in the year 2000 and corrupted image and music files on user systems. Identified initially by the words "I love you" or "Joke: Very Funny" in the subject line of an email, the virus was later passed around as newer, more malicious versions that overwrote important files needed to boot the computer. These masqueraded as Mother's Day messages or Lithuanian flirting techniques – some email came with the tag "Let's meet for a cup of coffee," in Lithuanian, of course. Bolder versions took advantage of the scare created by their predecessors, and pretended to be representatives from anti-virus software providers. They asked users to execute the attachment to eradicate all viruses from their computers!

2)Nimda:
This combo-platter hacker program was the sum of all malware-based fears; i.e., it was a trojan, a virus, and a worm in one package. This nasty little hybrid was capable of infecting your computer in many different ways. It also managed to become the world's most prevalent virus at the time in less than an hour after it was unleashed online.

3) The Caric-A Worm:
It is also known as the Bill Clinton and the MyLife-B worm, this malicious program was activated after opening an email's attachment and displayed a cartoon of Clinton playing the saxophone equipped with a bra popping out of the sax's mouth. The writers of this worm tried to be clever by adding a line to the end of the email, supposedly from anti-virus vendor McAfee, which claimed the email contained no viruses.

4)Code Red:
The Code Red and Code Red II use any backdoors they can find in the system and exploit these security flaws to enter and spread inside. The Code Red and Code Red II do give the user a fair chance by fearlessly announcing their presence once their work is complete! With losses caused by Code Red and Code Red II amounting around $2.5 billion, we have ranked it 8th in the list of Top 10 Most Dangerous Viruses.

5)MyDoom:
MyDoom is probably the most well known computer virus in the most dangerous viruses list because it managed to affect a large part of the internet back in the yearly 2000s! Like a real viruses or parasites, MyDoom rapid copies itself in all the directories it can find on the hard drive. After that, it propagates by attaching itself to any email being sent from that computer and downloads automatically as soon as it reaches an uninfected computer!
